That same spirit of exploration led our family to create Relic Soap with a single goal in mind: to find the “holy grail” of soap.

Like many families, we’ve faced our share of skin challenges—eczema, acne, and everything in between. With roots that span both Norway and Brazil, our skin types and needs are as diverse as our heritage. After years of searching for products that truly worked, we realized the soaps available, even those marketed as “organic,” “vegan,” or “cruelty-free” often fell short of genuine purity and quality.

That search brought us to our first great discovery: authentic Aleppo soap. Made with just two simple ingredients and aged for at least nine months, this time-honored soap is a rarity in the United States. We were proud to introduce it as our flagship product, a return to craftsmanship and authenticity that modern soapmaking has largely forgotten.

Our journey didn’t stop there. Inspired by our success and curiosity, we turned our attention to another ancient recipe this time from our ancestral home of Norway. Though crafted for thousands of years, this traditional soap has all but vanished due to its slow, meticulous production process. Bringing it to you, our customers, felt not just like a discovery, but a duty to share something pure, natural, and steeped in history.
